At Mubarak's meeting yesterday (Saturday) 27/1/2007 with Aswan parliament members, Ambassador Awwad said that President Mubarak spoke about constitutional amendments and answered queries on Egypt's efforts to reactivate the peace process, the situation in Iraq, Lebanon, Darfur, the situation in the Gulf and the Iranian nuclear file.

Regarding constitutional amendments, the President said they are designed to create a new legislative approach for Egypt's upcoming generations.

He said these amendments will enhance the role of the Judges, Parliament and the powers of the Prime Minister.
