Sorour: Judges' Club demands to give its opinion on constitutional amendments

People's Assembly Speaker Dr Ahmed Fathi Sorour said it was the Judges' Club that had sent a message to the assembly asking it to allow judges to express their opinions vis-à-vis the Constitutional changes, proposed recently by President Hosni Mubarak.

Sorour, commenting on statements by MP Mohamed Anwar Esmat el-Sadat that the assembly had asked the club to say what judges believed about the amendments, explained that the club, not the assembly, had initiated the request.
