"All the stages of the referendum on proposed Constitutional amendments will be overseen by judges," Justice Minister Mamdouh Marie said on Sunday25/3/2007.

Judges will be present at 334 general committees, the minister added.

Marie said the referendum was a further step in entrenching democratic practice in Egypt.
