People's Assembly Speaker: No difference on boosting woman role in the political life

People's Assembly Speaker Ahmed Fathi Sorour Saturday said the rights of citizens as enshrined in the Constitution will not be breached, referring to reports that the anti-terror bill would violate the rights of nationals as stated in articles 41, 44 and 45.

Addressing the fifth hearing session of the People's Assembly Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee, Sorour said combating terror used to be done in conformity with the emergency law, which, he expected, would be annulled in 2008 and thus must be replaced by a new anti-terror law.
