HRC proposals on the constitutional and legislative amendments

The committee on preparing the annual report in the Human Rights Council (HRC) convenes today 15/1/2007 for the final revision of the report before delivering it to President Hosni Mubarak.

The report includes the HRC achievements in a year and an assessment to the first session of the council in the last three years.

This is plus tackling 5826 complaints which the council received in the last ten months. Moreover, the report includes full analysis of these complaints and the measures which the council applied in its assessment of these complaints.

The report probed, however, the human right case in Egypt and the HRC's opinion and proposals on the constitutional and legislative amendments which were done in the last year and those currently under discussion.

The report also sheds light on the national plan of the human rights.
