Participation of opposition necessary

The big challenge before democracy is the abstention of the electors from participating in elections and referendums. And if the democratic countries spare no effort to ensure the participation of the citizens in elections, our democracy is in a dire need of the highest level of political participation.

Therefore, the call to boycott the referendum on the constitutional amendments is not the best means to express the standpoint of the opposition. Rather, the participation is more useful given that all the parties concerned with the political process would place the will of the electors at the top of priorities when making future policies and decisions.

Certainly, the constitutional amendments are the start toward realizing more reforms and legislations which include terror combat law, elections' law, parties' law and the re-regulation of the judicial supervision over elections
